Summary of presentations given at the international panel of the Permanent Conference on Czech Healthcare, held in Prague on 22 July 2021 by Zdravotnický deník under the auspices of the Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš, can be downloaded here.
The Permanent Conference on Czech Healthcare is a long-term project of Zdravotnický deník stirring public discussion on key issues in healthcare and health systems. At its international panel held on 22 July 2021, presentations were given by Czech Prime Minister and ministers of health of the Czech Republic and Slovakia as well as other leading Czech and international experts including professor Reuven Zimlichman, Head of Cardiovascular Research Institute of Tel Aviv University and professor Andrzej Mariusz Fal, President of the Polish Society of Public Health and Head of the Department of Allergology, Lung Diseases and Internal Medicine of Central Clinical Hospital in Warsaw.
The participants agreed that currently, the greatest killer is non-communicable diseases related to unhealthy lifestyle. Their prevalence has not been decreasing, quite on the contrary. Therefore, it is necessary to reduce the risks of harmful behaviour and search for innovative approaches. Some of them were presented.
